Step 1: Apply Heat Protectant and Scalp Treatment
Heat protectant is a must for all curly-haired people. It will protect your hair from the heat of the blow dryer and help you keep it looking nice and healthy. There are many different types of thermal protection products on the market today, but not all are created equal. The best ones contain ingredients such as shea butter, argan oil, or keratin to nourish and hydrate your hair while protecting it from heat damage.
Step 2: Curl Hair Using a Dual Sided Towel or Styling Wrap
It is always important to have the right tools when curling hair. A dual sided towel or styling wrap can be used to create perfect curls, and this is the most important step in this process. Hair stylists learn the importance of honing these skills from very early in their careers.
To curl hair using a dual sided towel or styling wrap, hair must first be divided into sections and each section split into two parts. One section around the edge of the towel and held tightly with both hands to create a loop of hair.
The other part of the hair is curled in the opposite direction by wrapping it around the edge of the towel in the same way as before. This process repeats on all sections until all the hair is curled. Finally it’s time to let go of the loops and allow them to set for 10-15 minutes before releasing them from the towel or styling wrap.
Step 3: Apply Firm Hold Gel and Style With Your Fingers or a Denman Bristle Brush
Firm Hold Gel is the main product for this step. It will give you that long-lasting hold that you need for your curls. The Denman Bristle Brush is a great tool to use when styling your hair. It will help you to get rid of knots and tangles easily, as well as distribute gel evenly throughout your hair.
