Brook Street, Chester

Brook Street is a historic and vibrant part of Chester city centre, where small and independent businesses are flourishing. These businesses are often at the heart of many local communities, and can be found in all shapes and sizes in Brook Street. In this post, we explore some of these shops in the historic centre of Chester.

Chester is a city in Cheshire, England and was founded by the Romans as Deva Victrix in 74 AD, as an outpost on the River Dee. Chester has a famous Roman Catholic cathedral, founded by the Normans in 1093 and is the seat of the Bishop of Chester. When looking south on Brook Street the spire of the cathedral tops the skyline.

Visiting Brook Street couldn’t be easier, with excellent road and rail links. The Pay & Display car park at 12 Hoole Way is great for cars and bikes. Brook Street is a few minutes walk from Chester train station. The north end of Brook Street meets the top of Egerton Street, where @hannahwalshhair salon is located.
